Vampire Teeth (aerosol on canvas; 40 × 30 in) distills Martinez’s fascination with form, tension, and transformation into a single looping structure.

The ribbon‑like shape twists and folds into an oval, its surface shifting between white, gray, gold, blue, and green in smooth gradients that feel both metallic and organic.

The form suggests movement, a coil tightening, a jaw opening, a shape caught mid‑shift — without ever settling into one identity.

Martinez’s aerosol technique softens edges and blends tones, giving the piece a luminous, atmospheric quality. In this work, the idea of “vampire teeth” becomes abstracted into gesture and contour, turning a symbol of danger into a study of rhythm, color, and evolving form.
