A layered, dimensional photo‑sculpture that captures the graphic power and cultural impact of Shepard Fairey’s visual vocabulary. Rose assembles overlapping photographic panels infused with Fairey’s signature stenciling and geometric patterning, creating a portrait that feels both iconic and confrontational.

Across Fairey’s face, the Andre the Giant icon appears projected like a luminous imprint, an unmistakable reference to the origin of the OBEY phenomenon. The projection merges Fairey with the mythology he created, blurring the boundary between artist and symbol.

Surrounding him, radiating motifs in red, blue, orange, and teal form a rhythmic field of pattern and political design, while a circular halo‑like form frames his head, echoing the medallion structures central to his work.

The sculptural depth pushes the portrait outward, giving it physical presence while preserving the graphic clarity of Fairey’s style. Through this collaboration, Rose transforms Fairey into both subject and emblem, an artwork constructed from the visual vocabulary that reshaped contemporary street art and cultural commentary.
