A layered, three‑dimensional photo‑sculpture that captures Corie Mattie’s signature blend of hope, activism, and visual wit. Rose constructs a multi‑depth grid of photographic panels, each one carrying fragments of doves in flight, symbols frequently found in Mattie’s own work. At the center, Corie stands with calm confidence, sunglasses on, a white dove resting gently in her hands. Her coat opens to reveal the word HOPE, turning her body into both message and medium.

The piece merges photography, drawing, and sculptural assembly, allowing elements to push forward or recede like shifting thoughts. Doves appear to lift off the surface, blurring the line between image and object. Rose’s collaboration with Mattie transforms her presence into a physical structure, an artwork built from her identity, humor, and creative vocabulary.
