There, There, Have a Chip” is an original, signed 28 × 24 inch painting by Bisbee, Arizona artist Bill Mead, a quietly theatrical moment staged in a vast golden landscape. A headless figure in a suit sits calmly with hands folded, leafy green fronds rising from the collar as if nature has stepped in to finish the portrait.

Beside the figure, a fish with human arms presents a mask on a stick  part offering, part performance  its gesture both humorous and strangely tender. Overhead, dark birds sweep across a dramatic sky, and winding waterways cut through the fields, grounding the surreal encounter in Mead’s signature dreamlike calm. His surrealism is confident and unforced; the improbable settles naturally into place, inviting the viewer to linger on the symbolism, the wit, and the gentle strangeness woven throughout. A vivid, character‑rich work from Mead’s Gravity & Wonder collection.
