Nicholas Polito

Born 1996 – United States

Nicholas Polito creates layered, textured paintings and collages that invite viewers into worlds that are at once familiar and dreamlike. His work draws on fever dream imagery, abstract pop art, and Greco-Roman mythology, shaped by a lifelong love of philosophy and poetry. Growing up in New York’s rock-and-roll and abstract art scene, he carries that energy and rebellious spirit into every piece.

Using paint, paper, and found materials, Polito explores memory, identity, and transformation. His pieces often balance bold color and abstraction with fragments of figurative or symbolic imagery, creating work that feels playful, intense, and deeply personal all at once.

Although he is early in his professional journey, he has already shared his work in a solo exhibition in downtown Salt Lake City. His practice is guided by curiosity and experimentation, always reaching for art that connects emotionally, visually, and intellectually.
