LeDania

Born 1987 – Columbia

Diana Ordóñez, also known as LEDANIA, has become one of the most recognizable muralists in the Latin American street art scene.

Based in Bogota, Ledania’s work celebrates color and nature in scenes populated by imaginary creatures in an improvised place, somewhere between magical and mystical. This is the output of her classical training, earning a master’s degree in Visual and Plastic Arts at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, mixed with years spent tagging graffiti in the streets under the name Ledania.

The name is derived from the union of Leda, the famous female seduced by Zeus in Greek mythology, and her first name. Ledania is now rarely home in Colombia and she continues to exhibit around the world in places such as the Curitiba Biennial in Brazil, Art Expo Malaysia and the Artscape Festival in Sweden.
